The Nations Menu is the one stop menu where you can manage your nation and finances.
If you're nationless, the Nations Menu (/nations) has the options to create or join a nation, along with money management tools. The Nation List shows a list of nations you can join. If you want to join any nation, use the Nations Guide.
Once you join a nation, you keep most of the functionality of the nationless Nations Menu. However, you can't create a nation while in one. If you want to leave and create your own nation or join another, use the /nation leave command.
Leaders (and owners of a land) have a shortcut to the Lands menu, as a claim block balance icon. Leaders, and people with the permission to, also have the option to invite members. Only leaders can kick them.
